Stella Maris, the wife of Nollywood actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, has responded to allegations made by social media critic VeryDarkMan regarding her intentions with the funds donated for her husband's health. Earlier, VeryDarkMan claimed that Stella Maris aimed to divert the N40 million donated for Mr Ibu's leg surgery towards personal gains, including an iPhone and Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgery.
Swiftly addressing the accusations, Stella Maris vehemently denied the claims, labeling them as unfounded, insensitive, and false. She countered by accusing her stepson and Jasmine of intending to use the donation money to move to the UK as a couple.
Expressing disbelief at VeryDarkMan's insinuations, Stella Maris posed a rhetorical question, questioning the sensibility of contemplating personal purchases when her husband of 16 years lay bedridden. She revealed that her only concern was seeking an account statement from Jasmine, who, in turn, deceived her about financial matters. This led her to notice suspicious plans involving her stepson and Jasmine relocating to the UK.
While narrating her perspective, Mr Ibu's wife cautioned VeryDarkMan against tarnishing her reputation, emphasizing that her focus is on caring for her ailing husband, who requires heightened attention during this challenging time.
